There’s no greater showcase for Houston’s gifted and diverse sommelier population than the annual Iron Sommelier competition, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary Nov. 9, at The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa. It benefits the Periwinkle Foundation, which develops and provides programs to help children, young adults and families who are challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
