Water Day, Periwinkle Day Camp 2017

In it’s third year, Periwinkle Day Camp is a week-long summer day camp for children ages 7 to 12 with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses treated at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers. Periwinkle Day Camp provides a safe and emotionally-healing program to promote independence and grow self-esteem in every camper. This program is offered free of charge to patients ages 7 to 12 and their siblings..

Research shows the positive impact camps make on pediatric cancer patients. Campers grow in self-confidence while experiencing engaging activities in a community of peers facing similar challenges. Activities include interactive games, a climbing rock wall, archery, arts and crafts and an Olympics themed sports day.
