Camps

Whether it’s a week-long overnight summer camp for patients and siblings, a spring weekend camp for teenagers, or a fall weekend retreat for families, Periwinkle camp programs are designed to provide a safe, emotionally-healing, and fantastic adventure for participants to grow in independence and self-esteem.

Patients and siblings experience the joy of childhood among a community experiencing similar challenges. Activities such as the ropes course, horseback riding, archery, swimming, arts & crafts and cooking help foster psychosocial benefits which improve self-confidence and develop social skills. All Periwinkle camps are staffed with nurses and doctors from Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center, and highly qualified and tenured volunteer staff.

For questions about Periwinkle camp programs, please contact Program Director, Larry Geiger, at lgeiger@periwinklefoundation.org or 713-807-0191.
