Make it a Splendid Week: Cookie Monster
This week’s edition of Make it a Splendid Week features artwork and a piece of creative writing reminding us of the comfort of fresh baked cookies! Can you imagine the smell of Charlie’s Mom’s double chocolate chip,
lemon crinkles, and snickerdoodles? Make it a Splendid Week!
Cookies
When I walk into the house
– Charlie (Charlotte), age 8
And smell cookies,
I go to the kitchen
To look in the oven.
There I see
Mom’s double chocolate chip,
Lemon crinkles, Snickerdoodles,
All gluten free.
When I bite into one,
It crumbles into my mouth
And tastes delicious and warm.
No one likes cold cookies.
