We had over 180 campers attend Camp Periwinkle Come Fly With Me! Upon arrival on Sunday, the campers were greeted by 120 week long volunteers. Camp kicked off by viewing last year’s camp video followed by a flag raising ceremony, a seven foot rocket launch and carnival. During the week of Camp Periwinkle the campers participated the exciting camp activities:

• High ropes
• Archery
• Biking
• Canoeing
• Fishing
• Horseback riding
• BB gun and paintball target practice

Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and donors the campers also participated in glamour shots, spa day, arts & crafts, cooking, cabin videos and  Super Hero Olympics Day. On top of all the fun activities the campers enjoyed several catered meals throughout the week. Pappasitos, Scott and Jenifer Jarriel, and Gatti’s Pizza all donated catered meals to Camp Periwinkle. The night activities were a huge success. The oldest campers enjoyed a night at Horseshoe Junction in Brenham, while the youngest campers enjoyed a movie night.

All the campers had a blast at both dances, Circus of the Stars  and Space Jam!. The week wrapped up with Friday Fun Day and the awards banquet followed by the showing to cabin video’s and slide show.
