Gorgeous Starry Night
Audrey, age 8
“Van Gogh is one of her favorite artists because he uses a lot of vibrant colors. Seeing his works everywhere helped inspire this painting.”

The Day I Felt Peaceful

I look up and see a cheerful full moon.
I look down and see beautiful flowers around my feet.
To my left and right are shiny stars.
The grass is covered in glowing fireflies.
I hear beautiful owls howling hoo-hoo,
and it reminds me of nature at 10 at night.
When I close my eyes, I imagine holding my families’ hands. It is amazing.
I breathe in peaceful.
I breathe out satisfied.
I rest my worries on top of the hill
so they can talk to the moon.
I’m fine, and even more peaceful.

Thania, age 12
